My son, the movie star. ;-) After taking a brief hiatus from songwriting, this one demanded to be released over the last week. The groove is pretty much swiped from "Black Velvet", but hopefully there is enough sprinkled on top to truly be considered "original". I hope 2012 is treating all of you well, with the best still to come. Thanks for listening and for your support. ------------------------------------------------------ Standing alone at your door Cupping my hands to be sure I heard you inside and you might've replied If I'd only pounded some more... on your door Oh you wait... to hold me down Bandied about at your whim Dangling out on this limb I come when you call and you come and I crawl My chances no longer dashed... only dim Oh you wait... to hold me down X2 Still here in the wind My patience is wearing thin As I turn away I hear you say It's open... come on in Oh you wait... to hold me down X3 ------------------------------------------------ As usual, Rick from channel bios36 was immensely helpful during this process, passing along percussive ideas and mixing suggestions. Please give his channel a look-see. http://www.youtube.com/bios36 Sylvia from channel ImOfTheWoods also lent a small sampling of her voice as well. http://www.youtube.com/user/ImOfTheWoods
