This video shows the official opening of the Bloor Street Bike Lane Pilot (Shaw to Avenue Rd) on the morning of August 12, 2016. The video begins at Bickford Park where there were brief speeches from Jared Kolb (Executive Director of Cycle Toronto), Mike Layton (Ward 19 City Councillor) and Joe Cressy (Ward 20 City Councillor). From Bickford Park the large group of cyclests rode West on Harbord, North on Shaw, and then East along Bloor to Lippincott where the press conference was held. At the press conference, longer speeches were made by Ashley Curtis (Acting Deputy Manager of Transportation Services), Mike Layton (Ward 19 City Councillor) and Joe Cressy (Ward 20 City Councillor).
