Clarence Mann had recorded various solo 45s for T&M, California Gold and Bama before joining True Image as lead singer in about 1980, then releasing this, his only solo album, on Spirit in 1983. True Image recorded this song, and another track on the solo album "It Ain't Fair" for Juana, and it seems that the tracks on the album are the same as the True Image recordings. Can anyone confirm this? Anyway, the album was one of the best soul albums of the 80s, and this is probably my favourite track.
