Fire heavily damages house in Madisonville

MADISONVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) - Firefighters battled flames at a house in Madisonville Thursday morning.

Crews responded to Erie Avenue near Roe Street just before 5 a.m.

When firefighters arrived they found heavy fire coming from the second and third floors. They quickly searched part of the house and then evacuated. Firefighters were forced to fight the flames defensively. 

The blaze caused heavy damage totaling about $70,000. 

No one was home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries. No word on a possible cause.
