3 Topspin Forehand Myths.

I think tennis players trying to improve their topspin forehand run into trouble because they get confused with conflicting advice when it comes to tennis instruction.

Today I want to clear up 3 Topspin Forehand Myths that might be confusing you and holding you back from hitting better topspin forehands.

Forehand Topspin Myth #1: You must have a Semi- Western Grip or Full Western Grip to create topspin. NOT true you can hit topspin with any grip, including a continental.

But in this video I explain why I think the Sem-Western is the optimal grip when if comes to hitting topspin on consistently on repeated demand.

Forehand Topspin Myth #2 Many tennis players believe you need a ton of wrist action to create topspin.

Most people overcook this idea or move the wrist in the wrong direction that is needed to create topspin.

In today's video I will share with you my Loose Wrist Lock secret to ensure you stop botching your topspin forehands!

Forehand Topspin Myth #3 The final Topspin Forehand Myth is that you need lots of acceleration and racket head speed to create topspin.

Again NOT true. And what is dangerous about this idea is too many players make poor contact with the tennis ball because they are swinging too fast for their current skill level and timing of the tennis ball!

This results in mis-hits, erratic play, and the occasional bout of tennis elbow or wrist injury.

I know this video will help you improve your topspin forehand so make sure to watch until the end!
