Facebook on Friday said a bug in its software may have exposed 6.8 million private photos. Affected by the news, Facebook's stock price fell 2.5 percent on the same day. The company said it recently discovered a bug that allows third-party app developers to access photos that are not openly shared. The bug has been removed, but some third-party apps are likely to have acquired private photos during the 12 days from September 13 to September 25.
