I've been painting/drawing a lot but I wanted to share this book project! I've been spending most of my time on graphic design and bookmaking projects, but you can keep up with my other artwork via my ig thru which I post pretty regularly 💙 I love you all and hope yall are ending 2018 beautifully!!! [[ Extention, a set of three books, presents itself in two forms: a model of education - or a library enabling choice. As each book decreases in size, it increases in complexity. Light, the largest volume, offers simple elemental elements such as shapes and letters of the alphabet; Medium offers factual information and diagrams; and finally Heavy, a precious pocket-sized book, contains conceptual and emotional poems, tragic writings, and drawings in esoteric vernacular). Each book builds upon the previous. Fundamentally, this project comments on the catastrophe that is presenting a child with content that is not fitting for their current juncture within their process of learning. Each square book fits into a debossed slot within the cover of the previous book (ie: Medium lies comfortably in a square indentation the size of its body on the cover of Light), suggesting that there is a proper order of building up. Each book is a building block, an extension, upon the previous, and the choice of reading Heavy before Light would not be sustainable if one has not previously learned of the Roman letters, the colors, the square… ]] Music: Time to Pretend - Park Dee Yan Key - Eternity Lobo Loco - Dream Softly Baby Website: dayitofu.com
