Ok so with a bit (read: a lot) of blending, it all panned out!! Thank goodness for that. It was touch-and-go there for a while, and I may have been a non-Belieber before I even started, but I think I kinda like this!! I wonder whether over time, my "contouring" skills will get better. I will admit something though. You know, before this whole YouTube gig, I did care a little about my presentation package...you know - the image, the tone, the voice...and how I wanted to portray myself. I mean, before this, like the average girl, I cared about my wardrobe and my appearance, but alongside my other loves...fitness, gardening, cooking...I just felt like - as I was getting older, and living in such a laid back place like Brisbane, make-up and self-care was going to hit the back-burner (I dunno, priority #6 of 10 things) - despite the fact that I admired people who groom themselves so well, and consistently so. I guess what I'm trying to say is that - this post isn't just about image and contouring. It's about willingness to learn and willingness to grow and experience something that I'd never experienced before. Make up and image isn’t everything, that’s for sure. I’m a pure advocate of being as much of yourself as possible whether that be with or without makeup, but for me, this reflected the amount of TLC I’m happy to give myself. I gotta say, I kinda like seeing the development grow! We're never too old to learn, be it about make-up, about business or about life. As much as it appears that this was a natural progression for me (especially because MAYBE, anyone presenting to camera is somewhat expected to know who to apply eyeliner and lipstick), I gotta say, being forward facing has urged me to continue to develop! And as disconcerting as it was (haha)...I did really just enjoy it. On that note, I hope you also enjoyed it and picked up a thing or two!
