If you've been following my Instagram stories over the last year and a bit, you might have noticed that Billy is an absolute fishing fanatic. This explains our morning activity for Day 5 of Boho Bali in Amed. The craziest thing is that when this was filmed, it was well before Mount Agung erupted in late 2017. The original plan was to hike the active volcano (kind of against my will being that we were SUPER UNPREPARED... packing things like a pair of flipflops and only Summer clothes), BUT we couldn't because of the weather forecast. It was going to be too rainy and slippery to go on volcano climbing feat (thank god) so we ended up on a charter fishing trip. If this were Luxe Bali, that would have sounded a bit fancy, but being that this is Boho Bali in a small town called Amed, this just meant that we went on someone's uncle's boat and he took us out on his work boat. By now, we've both settled into the town, but also started missing dry weather...and okay, our general creature comforts. Still, I really did enjoy this experience. If anything, I'd be keen to try it during the Summer season because the water would be really great and I would imagine that snorkelling would be off the charts too.
