A character/romantic fan video for Rogue. The story in this one is how Rogue develops affections for Scott, which only intensify when she absorbs his power during Mystique's attempt to kill him during Turn of the Rogue. The attraction lasts and her feelings mix with those of Jean when she absorbs Jean's power during Power Surge. Ultimately what she longs for is a love like the one between Scott and Jean. To be able to be close to another like they are except her power always gets in the way as non-mutants like Cody go into comas and mutants' powers becomes hers. During Self-Possessed, she again absorbs Mystique then starts shape shifting at random into everyone mutant she's ever absorbed, which didn't include Logan. So it was up to him to pull her back from the brink. However she's again made to absorb all including Gambit during Dark Horizons. So ultimately Dark Horizons and Cajun Spice are a continuation of the Day of Reckoning meeting of Rogue and Gambit. The pursuit of love like the one Scott and Jean 'taught' her about leads to her potential romance with Gambit... with Remy. When i heard this song... almost instantly thought Rogue potential video. Content credit to Marvel Entertainment for X-Men: Evolution. Music credit to Midnattsol for the song Desolation. Made a few lyric relevant sync ups.
