Kenya Commercial Bank, Diamond Trust Bank and Jubilee Holdings have emerged as the top three companies in the Cytonn Corporate Governance Index Report 2017 for listed firms.


50 companies listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, each with a market capitalization exceeding 1 billion Shillings, were examined to come up with the report. The study is released annually and measures the companies against 24 metrics. The NSE, itself a listed firm, is ranked fifth. Good corporate governance is often considered the lifeblood of sound financial markets.
