Uber and Taxify drivers in Cape Town and Johannesburg say they are stopping driving today. They are up in arms over low profit margins due to record HIGH petrol prices and VAT. Unlike normal taxis who raise their prices whenever petrol goes up - for Uber it's a different story altogether. The taxi hailing system is centrally controlled from San Franscico in the United States... Prices and trips are determined via the app, depending on demand and distance ...
