Big thank you to Headwaters Adventure Company of Redding CA for letting more borrow the 2019 Hobie Outback for a bit.  I really enjoy paddling (or pedaling) new kayaks so this was a real treat for me.  

I took a quick trip to Whiskeytown Lake on Friday evening to test it out and got skunked.  The next day I met up with a local guy named Brock to fish Lake Shasta.  We had a really fun time chasing Spotted Bass around timber in water that was 25-55 feet deep.  It was kind of crazy.  

The 2019 Hobie Outback took some getting used to.  At first I felt really cramped in the space but as I got used to it I started liking it more and more.  It was quite fun fishing out of it.
