NASHVILLE, Tenn - A kiosk offering teeth whitening at Opry Mills Mall is raising questions. In 2009 businesses similar to Spa Whitening were shut after the state Dentistry Board issued cease and desist orders. The board ruled that whitening chemicals could not be applied without the supervision of a licensed dentist. Dental professionals say without oversight consumers are taking a risk and could suffer gum sensitivity if the chemicals are not applied properly.
