Almost 9 years after the dtv transition and crt sets are still being dropped off at recyclers. So, how do you think these tv's are being disposed of? These should be heading to a legitimate recycler. as they're being collected by the county government. I also wonder what they do with items like dead alkaline batteries, are there any materials that could be recovered from them? Are they going into a landfill more protected from leaks and runoff? Would appreciate hearing from some folks in the know, please leave some opinions in the comments.
