In 2012, the NSCA was honored to present Coach Al Vermeil with the Boyd Epley Award for Lifetime Achievement. Upon receiving the award, Coach Vermeil did what he has always done -- he inspired everyone in attendance with his moving words and motivating mentality. Vermeil is the only Strength and Conditioning Coach to hold World Championship rings with both an NFL team & NBA team, and the only individual to hold a head strength coach position for an NFL, NBA, & MLB franchise.
