please visit us at: www.marjoriescandies.com Baked Maple or Brown Sugar Bacon 1 pound Bacon ( I used the Thick Sliced ) 1/4 to 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar (The less used the better because the bacon may not absorb it all and after it is all cooked it will be a little sticky OR 1/4 to 1/2 cup Maple Syrup ( I used real Maple ) Parchment paper for the baking sheets Notes: Whenever picking up cookie type pans with parchment paper, hold the paper down with your thumb. Doing that helps prevent the paper from sliding off the pan. Use baking sheets that have a bit of an edge for the fat to collect while the bacon in baking. Maybe 1 time during the baking process, drain some of the fat from the pan with a large metal spoon or a Turkey baster. Preheat the oven 400 degrees F. 1. Mix either the brown sugar OR the maple syprup NOT BOTH with the bacon strips until it is well coated. 2. Lay the bacon strips on the parchment paper lined baking sheets. (i layer) 3. Bake for about 15 minutes, being careful to watch becuase they may overcook. The sugar gets very hot and may cause the bacon to burn. 4. When done, remove the bacon to paper towels to drain. Note: Do not allow the bacon to cool completely on the paper towels because the sugar may cause them stick to other paper.
