Son-Tinh has rapidly intensified over the past day, and is now a 125mph Category 3 storm, way beyond the minimal Category 1 forecasted days before. This is bad news for Vietnam, as they can now expect a landfall with sustained winds up to 110mph, not to mention the flooding possibilities. The storm (named Ofel by PAGASA) has already killed 24 in the Philippines, with six missing. Son-Tinh is even more of a dangerous storm now, and people in central and northern Vietnam should be prepared for strong winds and heavy, flooding rains in the next couple of days.
