Economist, Lumkile Mondi, holds the view that privatisation of State Owned Enterprises is what will give some relief from the current financial burden the country finds itself in. However, he also argues that although privatisation can help to grow the economy, it is not possible under the current climate namely a failing rule of law and accountability. On the other hand, Political Analyst Khaya Sithole says privatisation of, for example SAA, could lead to some job losses but that doing nothing will be worse.
