Wittgenstein might say that the difference between explanations based on brain states and explanations based on experiential states is the same as the difference between the Earth moving around the stationary Sun and the Sun moving across the stationary sky. Which description is more true? It depends where you're standing (or drifting in space)! "Tell me, why do people always say it was natural for man to assume that the sun went round the Earth rather than that the earth was rotating?" To which his friend replied, "Well, because it looks as though the sun is going round the Earth." Wittgenstein replied, "Well, what would it have looked like if it had looked as though the Earth was rotating?"
