Stuart Winter, the environment editor for the Sunday Express, tells the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) about the decline of the Whinchat. To try to discover why many of our migrant birds are declining, the BTO is funding research in their wintering grounds in Africa. To learn more about our summer migrants, visit the A2B arrival calendar at www.bto.org/appeals/a2b/ and to find out how you can help fund our research, visit www.bto.org/appeals/out_of_africa_appeal.htm
