Visiting the Toronto Harbour and the Toronto Islands by boat is really cool. The islands are so lush and green. You can easily picnic there. We launched just east of the Toronto harbour at Achbridges Bay. There is three public boat launches there. Enough for six boats at a time and plenty of trailer parking. When exiting be very carful to stay between the markers or you will bottom out on the sand.

Getting to the inner harbour requires travelling through lake Ontario open water. Once in the harbour it is very calm. The waterway is under control by the Toronto Port Authority and you must obtain a visitors permit. This is easily done by phone and is not expensive.

Watch out for sailboats in the inner harbour, they don't watch out for you! In fact they often block traffic in and out of the harbour and the Toronto Police marine units can be heard on the radio being asked to come clear them away.

Video was taken with a GoPro camera mounted on the windshield of a Bryant 210 boat.
