The Coolspring Power Museum staff made some time to experiment operating a few of their flame ignition engines on a synthetic Illuminating gas blend ( Hydrogen and Propane ) . A pair of four stroke cycle engines and a large non compression engine were run. They all appeared to perform much better on this slower burning blend rather than on pure H2. . Here is a video of a 5 Man Power Sombart - made in Hartford, Conn running superbly on this blend
