Here's a Montgomery Ward's Airline model 62-377 wooden cased battery operated tube radio from 1937. This radio uses a telephone-style dial for station selection and will receive the standard AM broadcast band, as well as the shortwave band. This radio requires 2 volts for the tube filaments, 6 volts for grid bias voltages for the tubes, and 90 volts for tube plate voltages. Unfortunately, the correct battery packs have not been made in decades; so, one either must make the correct battery packs using modern-day batteries or build a power supply that will convert standard 120 volt AC household current to the necessary DC voltages to operate the radio. It's also unfortunate that the cabinet has some issues; but, I'll figure something out regarding the cabinet once the radio is playing again.
