A new initiative in Kenya is employing refugees and displaced people to produce clean energy, and become part of a market economy, instead of relying on aid. VOA co-sponsored a recent MEI town hall at the Kakuma camp in northwestern Kenya where residents could discuss the energy needs of their communities.
