Day 8 in the Atlantic, Day 25 in the Eastern Pacific
After making landfall on Thursday afternoon, Andrea has finally turned post-tropical in the past 12 hours over North Carolina, and is now nearing Chesapeake Bay as an extratropical cyclone. The storm is still expected to cause storm force winds and flooding across the northeastern coasts, particularly in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and perhaps Massachusetts. Rainfall Warnings are also in effect for Canada - along the southern coast of New Brunswick, the whole of Nova Scotia, and the eastern half of Prince Edward Island.
Invest 92L has a near zero chance of development, and its invest status is likely to cease very soon.
Invest 98W is very nearly a tropical cyclone, and has already been classified as Tropical Depression Dante by PAGASA, the weather forecasting body of the Philippines. However, the JMA and JTWC have not declared this system as a tropical depression yet, the former organisation being the designated tropical cyclone center for the region. This storm is expected to curve to the northeast and possibly effect the Japanese Bonin and perhaps Izu Islands eventually.
