People around the world, including governments, have been requested to answer the call to - beat plastic pollution - this as we mark World Environment Day. It is estimated that 100-thousand marine animals are killed by plastics each year and by 2050 there will be more plastic, by weight, than fish in the ocean.
To discuss this, we are joined from our Pretoria by the Minister of Environmental Affairs, Edna Molewa and from Cape Town, John Duncan who is the World Wide Fund South Africa's Head of Marine Programme.
