#StateCaptureInquiry: Minister Nene denies PIC allegations

At his first day under oath at the state capture commission, Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene has denied allegation that he acted inappropriately in the funding made by the Public Investment Corporation to his son. This comes after an allegation that the finance minister son's oil company acquired funding from PIC while Nene was still the chairman of the investment corporation. Nene is currently giving testimony at the inquiry probing state capture which is underway in park town. Nene also told the inquiry that he was fired as Finance Minister in his first term because he refused to approve projects that would benefit the Gupta family's other associates of former President Jacob Zuma.
