From the time capsule: From the era of Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw - the era when jazz, big bands and swing music filled the air of concert halls, dance halls and ballrooms across America - comes this look back in time through the eyes and instruments of members of the Bob Bachelder Band. As Marcus Jones reports, listening to the Bachelder Band transports one to a simpler time when couples danced cheek-to-cheek and a suit and tie was customary on the first date. (1990)
