Destiny 2 - Is Iron Banner Broken?

With the final Iron Banner for Destiny 2 Year 1, there are some significant changes that greatly alter the game play experience.  In my opinion, for the worse.  

The major change with this centers around the control points in Iron Banner.  If any team captures all 3 points, they're locked for 20 seconds and that team has a power play during that time period.  Once the time expires, all the points are returned to neutral.  In theory, this is designed as a risk vs. reward situation.  While your team has a chance to build a nice lead, you're also potentially sacrificing a competitive advantage once the power play expires.

In practice, though, what I've noticed is games that are far less competitive, and also the tendency for players to depart from the match at a much higher frequency.

I'm not a fan of this new Iron Banner, and would be surprised if this continues in Year 2.  But what about you?  Share your opinions in the comments section!
