Lyrics by Lee Charles Kelley 2014 ---------------------------------- A while back, Harmony Central had a challenge to write a "guilty pleasures" song. I never came up with anything useful, but as soon as I saw this lyric posted by my friend Lee Charles Kelley, I knew I had to write something. This is a single take, live recording of what I came up with. The second attempt at it, actually, since I first tried something upbeat and decided the song wanted more of a folk style. Either way, apologize to your ears in advance for the intonation issues. No one will ever accuse me of being the greatest performer sans my studio tricks. ;-) I've gotten feedback that some of the images are dated and the melody could use tweaking, particularly the "doo..oo.ooo" bit at the end of the tag (many would rather it just go straight to the tonic without the slide). I put the song away for a while, even forgot about it entirely until my mp3 player shuffled to it. Hearing it again made me realize how much I like it, flaws and all, so I've decided to leave it as is. The family pics are things I *should* love, and do very much. Those were tossed in because partially due to laziness and partially because it just felt like the best option. ;-) Thanks for listening and for your friendship and support. Justin
