27 year charcoal dealer shot by police, nursing elbow injury

A 27 year old man was allegedly shot by police who were patrolling the Jais area, Magarini Sub County in Kilifi county. Juma Charo was shot while transporting charcoal on his motorbike on Tuesday night at the JAIS intersection. The victim claims that the police officer shot twice, one shot missing him and the 2nd hitting the charcoal-filled sack. He is currently admitted at the Malindi sub county hospital where he is nursing a left elbow injury. Magarini OCPD, Gerald Baraza said investigations into case involving officers attached to the Adu police station.
