These are chocolate "lava" cakes, because they give an eruption of hot chocolate lava when they're cut open...or popped into your mouth. They have only five ingredients, and they're easy to make...and here, we're adding cast iron to the recipe, especially to make it even easier to make these cakes.

The recipe for this cake can be seen on my Web site, Cast Iron Chaos, at: http://www.modemac.com/wiki/Chocolate_Lava_Cake Please give this a try, and post your comments below. I'd like to know if the temperature and time is the same with different ovens. If it is, then we've got something here, and it demonstrates once again that cast iron makes everything better.

The cast iron muffin seen here isn an "unmarked" Wagner muffin pan, dating to the 1950s or 1960s. If you want to join over 250,000 cast iron cooks and share your culinary creations in cast iron, come over to our Cast Iron Cooking group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/castironskillet/
