Embattled Kenya Ports Authority Managing Director Catherine Mturi- Wairi has voluntarily vacated her office leaving the leadership problems into further crisis. 

In a letter addressed to the cabinet secretary for transport James Macharia, Mturi- Wairi says she is leaving office to pursue personal interests. Her departure takes effect immediately.
