Reception to mark 69th Chinese National Day in Zimbabwe

Chinese living in Zimbabwe recently celebrated the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The event celebrates the beginning of a new China following the victory of the Communist Party of China led at the time by Mao Zedong. The reception was held at the Chinese embassy in Zimbabwe and featured colorful perfomances by a cast of both Zimbabwean and Chinese performers. The Chinese ambassodor to Zimbabwe Huang Ping said China has always considered Zimbabwe a key cooperation partner in Africa. He said the development strategies of both countries are compatible and present each other with important opportunities.
