It crushes bottles pretty much as fast as you can feed them. In this video I crushed about 24 pounds of glass, in 1 minute 25 seconds. The crusher still needs a hopper and conveyor system for faster crushing and automatic feeding of crushed glass into a gyratory screener I also built this spring. Btw, drinking 53 bottles of beer the day before this video was recorded wasn't easy, but is one of the sacrifices I make for my loyal viewers and recycling. So, have a beer, and enjoy the video. Nearly 12 million tons of glass are thrown away each year in the US. It is highly recyclable, and can be used for many products, from containers, to abrasive blasting and filtration media.
