GUTS - Government Undercover Tactical Squad

In the future the world is a very different place. Large cities have given way to deserts and civilization is concentrated in an oasis in the northern hemisphere.

Global conflict has resulted in peace and security becoming things of the past. Crime escalates on a daily basis and conventional law enforcement techniques are useless.

With the emergence of a ruthless new terrorist organisation called the 'Chaos Clan' only one thing stands in the way of total anarchy ... The Government Undercover Tactical Squad.

Additional Information :

The first film shot mainly in Kent, 1995. The first edit just wasn't right due to a lack of decent editing equipment. So in 1997 the film was re-edited completely with a new soundtrack and the 'Special Edition' was born. I still wasn't happy with this as it suffered from the shots being cut together on a couple of VHS tape players. So I decided to create a final 'Ultimate Edition' version complete with a reduced running time and some additional effects. This version is assembled from scratch using the original camcorder footage and sound files. Being able to edit at a frame level cut the running time half without removing any shots at all.

Quality : Please remember this was filmed in 1995 with Video8 and VHS-C camcorders. Although this version is in HD the source material was low resolution and barely more than 600x320. I reduced the quality of the CGI elements to blend in with this grainy source footage.

I have no excuses for the script, acting, character development and plot!

In the UK this was probably only one of a handful of complete amateur film projects available on that thing that was known as the 'Internet'.
