Should parents be allowed to hit their own children? Tomorrow the Constitutional Court will hear arguments on whether or not corporal punishment should be allowed in homes. The court will hear an appeal by civil society group Freedom of Religion SA which believes that a judgment in a lower court last year which ruled it is illegal for parents to spank their kids is wrong. It says it will make criminals of well-meaning parents who love their children and want what's best for them. To discuss we're joined by the Deputy Director of the Centre for Child Law, Karabo Ozah. She joins us from our studio in Pretoria. For more news, visit: sabcnews.com
