Be careful what you accept as "fact" when it comes to teaching hitting. Especially what you find on Youtube or the internet! There is some really good stuff and a lot of questionable coaching as well...Each coach, player, and parent should be applying their own logic filter to everything they see and/or hear on youtube, coaching clinics, and at lessons, etc. This includes what you hear with our "Winning Baseball" instruction. Just because someone played professionally, in college, or has a big name does not mean they know how to effectively teach the game. That is a trap that many parents fall into to. The goal, over time, is for everyone to develop their own hitting philosophy by determining what is critical to swing mechanics, pitch recognition skills, and necessary for creating an effective game plan at the plate.
