Hi Guys, today I’m going to make a fresh berry crisp with strawberries and raspberries straight from the farm. I picked these gorgeous strawberries and red raspberries at a pick your own farm same as the vegetables from my last vegetable pasta video. I wanted to show you a super simple dessert with fresh berries. Wash the berries and put them in an oven safe dish. I’ve cut the strawberries up so they’re the same size as the raspberries. This is about a quart of strawberries and half a quart of raspberries. Approximately 5 cups of fruit. Sprinkle with ½ cup sugar. If your berries are very sweet, use only ¼ cup sugar. The amount of sugar depends on the tartness of your fruit. Sprinkle 2 tbsps of all purpose flour. Mix this. For the crisp, melt ½ stick of butter. Add ½ cup of brown sugar, mix well and add 1/2 cup of flour. Now mix in another ½ cup flour. The topping is ready and I’ll sprinkle it over the berries evenly. Bake this at 375 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes until it’s bubbling and the topping is golden brown. Your whole house will smell like raspberries. I know you want to dig in when you pull it out of the oven but don’t you’ll burn your tongue. Let it cool and serve as is or with fresh whipped cream. The warm berry crisp is also perfect with cool vanilla ice cream. Try this easy dessert that tastes like it took hours to make. Don’t forget to subscribe and I’ll see you next time.
