A Costa Mesa man, Robert Allen Lehmann, was arrested for the murders of his ex-wife and her father in Costa Mesa, California May 3, 2011 after losing custody of their 7-year-old daughter.  He was convicted of the killings Sept. 28, 2012.  On Nov. 2, 2012, Lehmann was sentenced to two consecutive life terms with no possibility of parole.
