Somewhat inspired by ZmaXcharmvill3's X-Men: Evolution series finale trailer though in my longer version it deals more with the X-Men, the Brotherhood, and the Acolytes going head to head with not just Apocalypse, but their mentors who all appeared to have been slain in battle against the ancient mutant. He is hell bent on accelerating the mutant evolution on his own terms. However neither Magneto nor Xavier shared this view, Mystique was duped by Mesmero so that he could facilitate the powers transfer to Apocalypse in Dark Horizons. Magneto is taken out during Impact whereas Xavier and Storm appear to perish early on in Ascension. All four reemerge under Apocalypse's sway as his Four Horsemen. The amalgam team of X-Men, Brotherhood, and Acolytes must split up to face each of the four in different parts of the world except they all know this is only a delaying tactic as someone must deny Apocalypse's fulfillment. It ultimately falls to Rogue armed with Leech's ability to nullify all mutant abilities for a time. She then with Logan's assistance time warps the ancient mutant away yet he'll be back however the mutants will be waiting despite their own in-fighting. Xavier glimpses the future during his servitude to Apocalypse and learns that his plans thus far will not be in vain for mutants will persevere through the challenges ahead of them as they have done so in the past few years. He also glimpses the tech-evo of the Sentinels, the eventual anti-mutant programs, and of course the tragic turn for Jean Grey in the guise of the Phoenix. However mutants such as the X-Men will flourish into the future and from this there is hope. So even when facing the hellish prospects like this jaunt with Apocalypse, as long as they stand together, they'll do more than just survive the struggle, it'll perhaps make them better for the journey.
