This animation is going to be used in the prologue of our new Star Trek fanfilm. It won't be shown as you see it here. It will be intercut with another scene. 30 seconds straight of warp streaks is just too much! The ship was animated in Electric Image Animation System as a png image sequence with an alpha channel. I then exported the camera motion in the Maya format. I brought the camera motion into Hitfilm, which created a new composite shot. The image sequence was also imported. I finished off the shot by using the particle generator to create the warp streaks. The camera motion synced perfectly with the rendered ship and I am happy with the output.
