A fast and easy dish to pull together in no-time flat!
I did modify this a bit, adding a lot more 'flavor' to it in terms of spices. If you have favorite spices, try them.
1 (9.0 ounce package) refrigerated fettuccine
2 (15 1/2 ounce can) Italian-style tomato sauce -- I replaced with diced tomatoes
1 (16.0 ounce package) frozen stir-fry bell peppers and onions, thawed - I used fresh
1 (pound) fully cooked turkey or regular kielbasa sausage, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
(I think these were the things I added):
1 Tbsp. minced fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. caraway seeds
Cook and drain fettuccine as directed on package; keep warm.
Heat tomato sauce, pepper mixture and sausage to boiling in saucepan, boil for 5 minutes. Stir in prepared fettuccine; cook until heated through, approximately 5-10 minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
