A Personal Pimple Story - #gayforjustin

Its time to rustle the feathers and bring up a subject that a lot of people just want to keep shoving under the rug: ACNE.  

The most challenging part of having acne was that I thought everyone was judging me for having a face full of red dots.  I think the reason acne lingers longer than it does, is because we become so ashamed of their faces, and continue to worry worry worry about what everyone else is thinking.  The stress, anxiety, and in some cases depression just adds to what a teenager is already going through while their body starts to introduce new hormones and emotions.  

I’m sharing my story in hopes that people who are living with, or have had acne in the past, know that millions of people deal with having acne, all around the world. The less you stress about it, the sooner your body and more specifically, your face will learn to live in harmony and find balance!   

I’d love to hear from all of you.  How did you deal with having acne?  What worked, and what didn’t?  What do you carry with you today, that's perhaps holding you back from truly loving the skin your in? Is it time to let go of some shame and judgement, and just love yourself regardless of some dots on your face?  Lets continue the conversation!
