Let your imagination take flight this week and step into the magical world of  Mary Poppins. Adapted from both the books and 1964 Walt Disney film, this Broadway production brings you the best of both worlds."There are so many big lavish Broadway production numbers but the story has a lot of heart" says Rachel Wallace who plays Mary Poppins on this tour. Wallace has been playing Mary Poppins for about 6 months now and says it's the most exhilarating and challenging role of her career.     "Every number has a lesson to take home, so whichever one resonates with you is what you will go home with" says Wallace. The plot follows the same structure as the film. "The story is around Banks family in London England in 1910." says Wallace. However the musical does differ in details and even adds a few new characters. "You have a lot of numbers you fell in love with in the movie, but then there are some new characters from the books, some different journeys the characters take even. There is a character named Ms. Andrews and it's Mary's arch nemesis of sorts" adds WallaceDon't worry about all the songs you know and love - like "A Spoon Full of Sugar" and " Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" - they are all there! "The spirit you love from the film is there. We encourage people to sing along. If you can sing as fast as we can then go ahead" says Wallace. A fun filled production both theater goers and critics alike have on their "must see list" "Everyone has been excited to be in Nashville. We are excited to be in this city and share our story" Wallace says! For tickets you can go to www.tpac.org. Most shows are sold out or selling out quickly. If you see a show you want to attend and there are no tickets available, organizers say follow TPAC's twitter feed closely, as seats often open up!
