http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The Chamonix day was so clear and sunny that we revisit the top of the Aiguille du Midi for more views of the Alpes. The trams were loaded and without clouds to block the views, it was crystal clear how frightening the drop below was. Once on top, we walked through a different gallery with information and posters showing exactly how the extremely brave men constructed the terraces, hewn out of rock. If that wasn't incredible enough, men were setting off on mountaineering expeditions from another terrace through a small gate on to a teeny-tiny snow ridge with sheer drops on both sides. After all, Chamonix is the mountaineering mecca of Europe. Please don't forget to Subscribe Share and Like. Thanks.
