Doss Ramasamy’s debut film Dora starring ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara is all set to release on March 31. Auraa Cinemas are releasing the film in Tamilnadu and it is getting a  big release. “Initially, I had sent the synopsis of Dora to Nayanthara and later met her for a two-hour long narration. Her dedication and love towards good cinema has helped me execute Dora in the way I had in mind. I am totally satisfied ”, says Doss Ramasamy. Talking about Nayanthara’s character, Doss says “She plays Pavalakodi in the film. For her character, we wanted to give a manly swag and while we were discussing about the look, it was Nayanthara who came up with the idea to wear spectacles to add more innocence to her character.Even the costumes that she wore in the film was her idea". 

“Only after working with Nayanthara I realized why people calling her the "Lady Superstar". She doesn’t go to her caravan even after her shot is over. Her co-operation for the betterment of the film is something unique. There will be a huge contrast in her character in the first and second half of the film”, says Doss. Thambi Ramaiah plays Nayanthara’s dad in Dora and their chemistry crackles.  “Thambi Ramaiah has become a close friend of Nayanthara now. She keeps praising his timing and performance throughout the shoot. She used to tell everyone on the sets that Thambi Ramiah is so sweet both as a person and actor”. An Austin Cambridge car also plays an important role in the film. “We had a great difficulty in shooting with the car as sometimes it just wouldn't work and even Nayanthara had to wait for hours for it to get back to normalcy. However, once Nayanthara visited a temple at Kerala and applied vibuthi on the car, and the shoot happened without any hindrance. She added a lot of positivity to our film”, exclaims the director.
