Tropical Storm Sonamu is intensifying as it moves though the South China sea, between Vietnam and Malaysia. The storm is expected to come close to a landfall near Malaysia as it weakens and eventually dissipates. The largest threat from Sonamu is expected to be its rainfall, which is already present in Vietnam and expected in parts of Malaysia and southern Thailand.
