A frequent problem in my workplace, whenever someone turns on the TV, they tune to the SD version of a network. In this example, a viewer is watching New England Cable News (NECN), but tuned the Comcast cable box to Channel 6, which defaults to the SD version of the network. To watch the HD signal of NECN, one must tune to Channel 810. But because people are so accustomed to tuning into the old analog channel number (as well as the simplicity of entering one digit instead of three on the remote), they end up with a awful-looking picture, letting their HDTV set go to waste.

In my opinion, Comcast should update its Channel Lineup so that the HD signals are prioritized. That way, if someone wants to watch a network in true high definition, they can do so by tuning into Channel 5 instead of 805.
